Vicenza Fair outlines 2011-2015 development plan

VICENZA, Italy, January 16, 2011 – The VicenzaOro First trade fair has outlined a development plan for 2011-2015 including construction of a state-of-the-art exhibition space, an Internet-based communications strategy and promotion of design talent.
Roberto Ditri, President of the Vicenza Fair, announced plans to build from next month a new hall that will have 75,000 square metres of space, up from 60,000 now, that is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2013.VicenzaOro First 2011

“I believe we will be able to welcome many more exhibitors,” Ditri told a news conference.
VicenzaOro First, a leading European jewellery trade event, currently has almost 15,000 exhibitors, from more than 50 countries.
He told a news conference that, as well as the new hall, a seven-storey car park would be built for a total of 600 cars.

The Vicenza Fair will develop an Internet-based communications strategy to enhance its marketing effort and will also launch a new jewellery magazine as well as a new international competition to reward design innovation, Ditri said.
Vicenza Fair aims to support a new jewellery museum in Vicenza, he added.
