Vicenza Fair sends mission to New York
NEW YORK, August 2, 2012 – Vicenza Fair has sent a high-level delegation to New York to boost ties with leading retailers and safeguard foreign markets for Italian gold jewellery.
The delegation on the week-long trip was led by Roberto Ditri, President of Vicenza Fair, and Corrado Facco, General Manager.
The New York week encompasses two key events dedicated to precious metals and gemstones.
The first is JA New York (29th July – 1st August), an international event that attracts exhibitors and retailers from all over the world to New York City.
JA is a historic exhibition dating back to 1906, the year in which the American National Retail Jewelers of America (ANRJA) was founded.
The second appointment is the Luxury Privé (30th July – 1st August), an exclusive, by-invitation-only event that brings together the best jewellery retailers, designers, top-range producers and retail stores.
Luxury Privé is located in the exclusive Pierre Hotel on Central Park, in the heart of Manhattan, and is a privileged meeting point for brands, retailers, buyers, opinion leaders and trade operators.
Roberto Ditri said: “Our scouting and networking activity in the USA is yet another key element in Vicenza Fair’s strategy, which includes achieving a strong global positioning of the VICENZAORO brand.
“The American market, with over 300 million consumers, is undeniably of prime importance to Italian gold jewellery.”
As the third largest gold and jewellery market in the world, the United States is one of the most important destinations for Italian exports.
Vicenza Fair, a partner of the JCK Show in Las Vegas with its VICENZAORO Italian Club, a special format for promoting gold jewellery from the Italian manufacturing districts, is further strengthening its global networking strategy with a project that aims to capture the loyalty of American retailers.
