VICENZAORO January – The Jewellery Boutique Show: 2018 edition sold out
MILAN, December 2017 – The Jewellery Boutique Show, scheduled to take place in the Vicenza Exhibition Centre from 19th to 24th January, is sold out, defying a tough economic climate facing a number of international jewellery fairs.
Matteo Marzotto, Executive Vice President, and Corrado Facco, Managing Director of IEG, Italian Exhibition Group, the company generated by the merger between Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza, confirmed the figures during a press conference in Milan earlier this month.
Also attending the meeting were Michele Scannavini, President of ITA, Italian Trade Agency; Ivana Ciabatti, President of Confindustria Federorafi; Alba Cappellieri, Professor at Milan Polytechnic and Director of the Museo del Gioiello jewellery museum in Vicenza; and Gaetano Cavalieri, President of Cibjo, the World Jewellery Confederation.
The January Show will be hosting over 1,500 brands of which 80% are already VICENZAORO customers. Participating companies will be exhibiting in an area of over 25,000 m², with a strong participation of brands. The number of high-end brands at VICENZAORO January will be up by 10%.
International participation is also continuing to grow and at 40%, confirms the Vicenza event’s role as a reference hub for the sector.
VICENZAORO January is an authentic jewellery city with six different themed districts that make meetings between buyers and exhibitors easier: ICON, LOOK, CREATION, EXPRESSION, ESSENCE, EVOLUTION.
T-Gold, the international show for machinery and the latest technologies applied to gold and jewellery processing, is also sold out – up 20% compared to the same period of 2017.
The Show’s hall has been extended and there will be 161 exhibiting companies from 16 countries.
The recurring theme of VICENZAORO January 2018 – The Jewellery Boutique Show – will be VISIO.NEXT: entirely dedicated to the future, it will highlight the multi-channel character of distribution.
The opening day of VICENZAORO January will feature the VISIO.NEXT Summit dedicated to luxury and jewellery with significant in-depth discussions on the topics of traceability and sustainability and a high level, expert panel on the Vicenza fair stage, introduced with a presentation by Claudia D’Arpizio, Director of Bain&Company.
The evening of the opening day will see the prize-giving ceremony of the sixth edition of the Andrea Palladio International Jewellery Awards.
Considered to be the Jewellery Oscars, these awards celebrate the very best of Italian and international jewellery and the winners will receive prizes by the prestigious Seguso brand.
