The Kitco News Annual Silver Survey showed a clear majority of retail traders predicting further gains in silver prices in 2026.

Silver prices have surged more than 160 percent so far in 2025, after breaking above USD$75 per ounce for the first time, supported by rising industrial demand and tight inventories.

While leading analysts polled in the Kitco News Annual Silver Survey expected silver to move much higher in 2026, others warned of early setbacks after the sharp gains of 2025.

212 retail traders, that is 57% of those polled, expected silver to trade above USD$100 per ounce next year. Another 27 percent, or 99 retail traders, predicted silver prices would trade between USD$80 and USD$100 in 2026, while 11%, or 43 participants, expected silver to top out somewhere between USD$60 and USD$80.

The remaining 19 retail traders, representing 5% of the total, thought silver prices would drop back into the USD$40 to USD$60 per ounce range they were trading in between September and early December, 2025.
